Essential:

These resources are essential throughout the AS Scheme B course and should be used often.

Student Scheme of Work - [download] (Scheme B specific)
This file contains a breakdown of the topics covered during each term of the course, detailing key learning points, skills developed and textbook references.

Homework Booklet - [download] (Scheme B specific)
This file contains the AS Scheme B Homework Booklet, which provides written exercises for each topic that may be set for weekly 2 hour homeworks. It also contains a self-assessment checklists and some revision questions for each topic.

Periodic Table - [download]
This file contains the Periodic Table that we use: it lists the symbols, group numbers, atomic numbers and relative atomic masses of all known elements. Different Periodic Tables vary slightly in the accuracy and style of content provided, so use this one when you can.

Data Booklet - [download]
This file contains the official Edexcel Data Booklet, which lists all kinds of data that are appropriate for use during the course.

Independent Learning:

These resources are available for students wishing to engage in independent learning.

Edexcel GCE Chemistry Specification - [download]
This file contains the official Edexcel GCE Chemistry specification, which is essentially a giant list of everything you could possibly want to know about the GCE A Level course. Highlights include: Qualification content (p19-50) and Performance descriptions (p97-101).

Self-Assessment Checklists - [download] (Scheme B specific)
This file contains a set of checklists, one per topic, that can be used to tick off knowledge or understanding when revising for an End of Unit test or the June exams.

Topic Notes (Scheme B specific)
These files contain complete notes for each topic of the course that can be used to fill in gaps in your own notes, to clarify points of confusion in lessons or during revision for an End of Unit test or the June exams. There are also sets of complete notes for Units 1 and 2, although some topics from both units are covered in the 6th Scheme A course.

This file contains a useful list of five things you can do to help develop your study skills throughout the year.

Equations - [download]
This file contains a list of important equations that you will come across during the course.

These resources are provided to aid revision in the run-up to the June exams. Your teacher may want to use these as part of in-lesson revision activities, so don't use them without asking him/her first.
